Last year, the local government in Dalian made a major strategic decision to set up the hydrogen energy industry. It started working on developing the hydrogen energy policy and exploring the required infrastructure and applications. The city also plans to develop a high-purity, low-cost hydrogen purification plant with an annual production capacity of 50,000 tonnes/year of hydrogen to power 5,000 hydrogen fuel cell commercial vehicles.
